'Begging to be Touched'

First Wall Installations

Hello everyone!

I've been quiet as I was busy working on lots of new work!

I've been dreaming of wall installations since last year so here are the first ones.  Above is 'Begging to be Touched', made up of 9 palm-sized forms hung on a square grid, all from a single mould.

Below is 'Wuthering Bodies' and my first ever figurative pieces 'What Weathers Together'.

I'm very excited to show these at Fine Art @ Hale opening this Friday.

I'm also thrilled that 'Quake' was selected for the Australian Ceramics Association members exhibition Continuum and will be showcased at Noosa Regional Gallery this July. This piece is especially close to my heart as it was born from reflections on the devastating earthquake in Turkey in 2023.

Lately my love for pebbles led to a set of lidded pebble vessels. I'm experimenting with different textures and layering colours. You can see some of these pieces at Perth Upmarket on Sunday 21 June.  You can also find me at Mount Claremont Farmers Market at least once a month.

Currently I'm working on developing a body of work based on the concept of the effects of time for an upcoming exhibition in September. This textural development will probably eventually find its way to some of my dinnerware pieces as well.

Two New Products

you've asked for

Hello everyone!

You've been asking for butter dishes and macchiato cups, here they are!!!

These will make their debut at Perth Upmarket this Sunday 14th September. Please note that my stall location has changed! I will be upstairs at Winthrop Hall.

If you can't make it this Sunday, don't worry as I'll have these at Mt Claremont Farmers Market next Saturday 20th September. They will also be available online soon.

You told me it's very hard to find a 'nice' butter dish, so I made one! ;)
It's small enough to hold in one hand and fits 125g of butter. The plain colours have horizontal etching for a better grip.

You asked for a cup that's a size between an espresso and a flat white cup - here it is!
I've called it TELVE as a tribute to my mum and her love of Turkish coffee.

I've also just made the prototype for a matcha bowl. If all goes well, I'm hoping to release it soon. So stay tuned!

WEDGE 2025, the Australian Ceramics Triennale exhibition Under Fire: Clay from the Western Edge that I've been working for since the beginning of the year opens on Friday 3rd October at 6pm at the Fremantle Arts Centre. I made 21 different sculptural forms using the same mould and I can't wait for you to see them in person! Below are a sneak peek of the latest forms.
